Terms of Use (EULA)

Welcome to Awaytime: Screen Time Control. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and Ahmed Abdul Fatah ("we," "us," or "the Developer") regarding your use of the Awaytime mobile application for iOS.
1. Subscriptions & Billing
Awaytime offers subscription-based access to premium features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
a. Subscription Tiers
We offer Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly auto-renewable subscription plans. Exact pricing for your region is displayed within the app at the point of purchase.
b. Free Trial
New subscribers may be eligible for a 1-week (7-day) free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your paid subscription will begin automatically and the applicable fee will be charged to your Apple ID account.
c. Auto-Renewal
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (week, month, or year) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
d. Managing Subscriptions
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your Apple device. Please note that deleting the Awaytime app does NOT automatically cancel your subscription.
e. Payments & Refunds
Payments are charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple. To request a refund, please follow Apple's instructions at https://support.apple.com/HT204084.
2. Apple Required Disclosures
As this app is distributed via the Apple App Store, the following terms apply:
- Agreement: This agreement is between you and the Developer only, not with Apple. The Developer is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Maintenance & Support: The Developer is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty: The Developer is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
- Product Claims: The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, failure to conform to legal requirements, or consumer protection claims.
- Intellectual Property: In the event of a third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, will be responsible for the investigation and defense of such claims.
- Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting"; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-Party Beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Use the app for any illegal purposes or to circumvent system-level security features.
- Abuse our support systems or provide false information.
4. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Awaytime is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties. While the app helps you manage screen time, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or behavioral changes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the app.
5. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. Your continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
